Re:
Queeny, Misty must be the happiest kitty in the world and the best companion ever.
I see some tabby in her, marks on her body and stripes on her thigh and tail. Very good picture of your beautiful cute Misty.

Re: Queeny's Misty....
Thank you all for your kind words...
But Mom calls me this Frenchy thing..>Chartreux. I can't pronounce it, but she thinks she is smart.
I try to be great company for her, but she is not at all pleased with my Opera singing in the bathroom at 3am...

Re: Queeny's Misty....
Thank You HG....very interesting!
quote: Today, however, Chartreux cats are popular because they make terrific companions. They are amiable, loyal, and vocally quiet, and when you sit down next to your Chartreux you invariably end up with a lap full of cat.
Known as quiet, sweet cats, Chartreux cats also have a playful, comical side that they keep well into adulthood. They seem to have a well-developed sense of humor, and enjoy a good game of fetch or a playful romp with their friends and family. They are very intelligent cats; they quickly learn their names and will come when you call, if they're in the mood, of course.
This is interesting because a few people have said they thought she was pure bred..BUT, maybe her owners wanted to sell Misty and her litter mates as pure, but they were not and Misty had this huge meow...so she gave it away. Perhaps that is why they dumped her out at Walmart. Figuring someone would find her or she would go to the feral colony that the Ontario Feral Cat project feeds.
Because she has ALL the qualities listed in that article HG posted..EXCEPT she is LOUD!
Which is too bad....because she would literally be the PERFECT cat if not for the loud vocals she has...

Re:
Believe me, a loud cat is better than a loud dog.
I think it is unlikely she is purebred. For one thing, she does have underlying stripes. Also, if she was purebred, they would sell her anyway, and there is no way, as a young kitten, she would be loose at Walmart. They would simply say she is not show quality; she is pet quality.
I hear that Hobbes looks purebred, but that is also impossible. A 7 week old purebred would not be out of the house at all, not until at least 12 weeks old.
The only way you can be sure is to do a DNA test.

Re: Queeny's Misty....
Won't be doing a DNA test on Misty!
She came to us via the Universe....so we love her...loudness and all!
Does not mean that she isn't squirted with the squirt bottle at 3am when she is meowing to hear herself!
